I am in my 18th year at Galmpton Primary after working my way up from a higher level teaching assistant to a teacher and early years lead across our trust and now Deputy Headteacher.  My passion is the early years foundation stage and I am committed to providing a caring nurturing environment where children can flourish and thrive. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family exploring the local coastline and beautiful country side. I have 4 children and a Sprocker (Peggy) who are all very sporty and so weekends are often taken up on sporting side lines and on long walks.

I have been teaching in Early Years for 20 years and feel it is such a privilege to be part of each child's journey as they grow and develop. This will be my first year at Galmpton and I am incredibly excited to be joining a new team where I can share my passion for early years and help each and every child reach their full potential and grow as rounded individuals. I have 2 children with very different interests. My daughter is artistic and loves to draw and my son has recently joined a local football team. They keep us very busy! But when I have time to relax I also love to read, jog, swim and go for walks.
