Spanish at Galmpton

We are really very fortunate to have two Spanish teachers at Galmpton who are both Spanish teaching specialists!

Before beginning his teaching career in Devon, Mr Hicks translated English to Spanish textbooks and has lived in Spain for many years prior to returning to teach with us.

In addition to our expert teachers, we use the Primary Languages Network to support our teaching. This programme with Spanish speaking teachers breaks down the four modalities of listening, speaking, reading and writing into end points for each of the four compulsory years of learning at KS2. PLN has also developed its own progression which aligns very effectively with our 3 concepts in languages
